We love to share out work and our stories and some of our biggest supporters have been schools.
Getting involved with Support Dogs is a great way to introduce children to Assistance Dogs; to open up conversations about Disability, Epilepsy and Autism and how they affect people; and to introduce children to fundraising and encourage they to make a difference with their actions.
We want to create partnerships with Schools throughout the UK. Where possible we will always attend an assembly to introduce ourselves, as well as provide a fundraising pack especially aimed at explaining our work to children and suggesting ways they can help transform lives.
“Cherry Dale Primary School has been involved with the Support Dogs charity November 2015. Through the informative assemblies delivered by Laura and her four footed friends the children have been inspired to raise money to support this wonderful charity. I feel that the information given through Laura’s presentations have given our children a greater understanding about the needs of others and have helped them to develop empathy and identify how they can help others within society. Thank you Support Dogs.”
